The LG G6 flagship phone with was announced this year was shipped with Snapdragon 821 processor instead of Snapdragon 835. LG was forced to ship its device with this processor because the company was facing supply issues with Snapdragon 835 processor. Hence the upcoming LG G7 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor which is yet to be announced.
Now LG is working on the next flagship phone dubbed as LG G7 which will be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor. According to Aju Business Daily reports, Samsung and LG have joined hands with Qualcomm to design its CPUs.
The reports provided by The Investor says that LG and Qualcomm have started their respective developments in their fields and Snapdragon 845 will feature 7nm chip manufacturing technology and it is 30% more powerful than its predecessor Snapdragon 835 processor.
Also, there are rumors claiming that Snapdragon 845 processor will be launched in first half of 2018. Some reports also say that the processor will be assembled and manufactured till October end. The Snapdragon 845 processor is developed using Samsung’s 10nm technology which is present in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones. But, in India Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus processors are powered using Exynos processor may be due to the shortage of stock. In near future, many smartphones are expected to be built using Snapdragon 845 processor.
LG has also decided to focus on innovation more than on stability to compete with its rivals like Samsung and Apple. LG has some positive feedback for its latest smartphone device G7 which will be powered using latest processor and LG missed the inclusion of Snapdragon 835 processor in its LG G7.
The adoption of Snapdragon processors in expected now a day since the virtual reality and augmented reality requires powerful data processing ability.
Along with LG G7, the smartphone manufacturer is also expected to announce the affordable version of LG G6 which will be launched in India in next 8 to 10 weeks.
